Learn About Us...

Charge variants are protein alterations formed through post-translational modifications or chemical degradation. Chemical modifications can alter the surface charge distribution and conformation of proteins, forming charge variants with various isoelectric points. These changes lead to charge heterogeneity, which can include acidic and basic variants.

A couple of commonly employed techniques for separating protein charge variants have proven to be effective. However, these techniques mostly rely on optical detection but missing charge variants identification. As such, we offer a unique online cIEF-MS sample analysis service for the identification of charge variants.
